We study materials at the intersection of magnetic and electronic topology

Welcome to Ghimire Research Group!

We are  a materials synthesis group. We synthesize and study magnetic and magnetotransport properties of various quantum materials. Our current focus is on the study of materials with magnetic and electronic topological states.

Research Highlights/Press Coverage

2021: Ghimire awarded NSF CAREER  Award

2020: Mason, NIST, ANL and ORNL collaboration discovers a new topological magnetic state

2018: Scientists find unusual behavior in topological material
